produced by skilled woodsmen in the South East of England
They are hand cleft or riven and popular in listed building
restorations, traditional building projects or simply
to create an authentic look.

Plastering Lath
Although we can produce sawn lath if required this is
mainly supplied in hand riven
Chestnut.
Tiling Battens
As above, we can produce sawn battens if required these
are supplied in hand riven Oak or Chestnut.
Carpenters Pegs
These pegs used in the construction of timber frame buildings
and vary according to the requirement. The three types
we can supply are as follows:
Shingles (Shakes)
These hand cleft Oak tiles for cladding roofs or exterior
walls are unique and durable and need no treatment from
weathering. As with all exterior Oak they will season
to a silvery grey after a couple of years.
